Charles Douglas Ferguson, 75, of Roanoke, VA, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. Born on January 24, 1949, in Roanoke, Charles lived a life filled with adventure and love for the simple joys.

Charles was a dedicated worker, working as a traveling salesman and later at Lowe's Home Improvement. He loved to travel and had a deep appreciation for the beach, where he found peace and relaxation. Charles also proudly served his country in the Army Reserves, receiving an honorable discharge in 1974.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Oliver Ferguson; father, Woodrow Garland Ferguson; brothers, Garland Ferguson and Wayne Ferguson; sister, Sybil Hawkins; and his partner, Judy Weller.

Charles leaves behind cherished memories with his sister, Cleo Woody; sister-in-law, Renda Ferguson; nieces, Dreama Beaty and Dana Ferguson; nephews, Dwayne Ferguson, Bruce Woody, David Ferguson, and Donnie Hawkins; his daughter, Christine Tiller (Greg); grandchildren, Hannah Ferguson, Glen Tiller, Nicholas Tiller, and Hayden Overstreet; great-grandchild, Gabriel Douglas Hangelia; and many beloved friends and co-workers.

A celebration of Charles's life will be held on a fall day, when the leaves begin to change, as his ashes are released back into the world he loved to explore.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cave Spring Rescue Squad in Roanoke, VA, in Charles's honor.
