Carolyn Renee Pleasant , age 73, of Roanoke, Virginia, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Our Lady of the Valley in Roanoke, Virginia. Carolyn was born on June 18, 1949, to the late Rev. Thomas E. Pleasant, Sr., and Louise Gilbert Pleasant, in Roanoke, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas E. Pleasant, Jr.

Carolyn was employed with AT&T Telephone Company where she retired after thirty-four years of service. Carolyn was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia, where she faithfully served on the Usher's Ministry. She enjoyed spending time with her family; especially on the holidays. She had a very special bond with her sister, Romelle and enjoyed shopping and talking with her sister.

Those left to cherish Carolyn's memory are her sister, Romelle Bannister (Jerome); her nephews, Troy Pleasant and Tyler Bannister (Allison); her niece, Kimberly Bannister; and her great nephews, Kameron and Khristian Simmons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Salem. The service will begin at 1 p.m. with Reverend Melton Johnson officiating.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at First Baptist Church 226 S Broad St, Salem, VA 24153, at 1:00 P.M.
