Carlton Eugene Kingery, Jr., 64, of Virginia, passed away on May 10, 2025. Born on September 16, 1960, Carlton was a family man with a heart of gold whose love for his family shaped every part of his life.
Carlton took great pride in his children and grandchildren, each one holding a special piece of his heart. He loved spending time with his family, sharing stories from his past, and offering his signature advice, often reminding everyone that his way was better. Known for his sense of humor and memorable catchphrase, "I'll smack a knot on your head faster than you can rub it," he brought laughter and warmth to those around him.
A true car enthusiast, Carlton could often be found working under the hood, happily teaching anyone willing to learn. His lessons, both mechanical and personal, will be cherished forever.
Carlton was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton E. Kingery, Sr., and Shirley Mae Edwards Kingery; sisters, Carolynn Sue Lowder and Janet L. Thurman; and his beloved dog, Coda.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Darline Kingery; daughter, Morgan Ann Kingery; son, Allen Scott Kingery (Christina Kingery); grandsons, Christopher W. Kingery (Alexis Walton) and Jadyn R. Kingery; granddaughters, Osheanna Shae Hartless, Haylee Skye Kingery, and Alexis Ann-Marie Kingery; sister, Cynthia L. Boris (Johnny Boris); and numerous nieces and nephews.
