Carl Ray Hannah, 62, of Elliston, Virginia, passed away on November 11, 2025. He was born on January 30, 1963, in Roanoke, Virginia.

Carl worked for the City of Salem Waste Disposal Plant for 15 years. He was an avid fan and lover of hunting, fishing, drag racing, and old cars. Above all, he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hannah; mother, Genevieve Hannah; brother, Dale Hannah; and his furry little kitten, Leroy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Kathy Hannah; son and daughter-in-law, Corey and Erin Hannah; daughter, April Hannah; sister, Debra Hannah; brother and best friend, Tony Huffman; aunt, Jeanette Huffman; nephews, Zach Hannah, Josh Kendall, and Kenny Wayne Kendall; niece, Jessica Hannah; daughter, Brittani Castor and family; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jim Wood; grandchildren, Destinae, Madison, Avery, Abigail, Chelsea, Caleb, Vivian, and Katie; step-grandchildren, Kait and Jamie Moore, Codey, and Dustin; and great-grandchildren, Jaime, Jaylin, Skyler, and Emery. Additional grandchildren include CJ, Cole, and Frankie.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Valley Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Mike Johnson will officiate the service.
