Bertie George Morgan, age 80, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024, leaving a legacy of love and hard work, for her children and grandchildren.

She always enjoyed working in a restaurant; especially the one she owned, The Little Chef in Roanoke, VA. She loved working, shopping, taking trips, gambling, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Roy Perdue & Edith Woodrow Morgan; and her loving husband, James "Gary" Morgan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lisa Crotts (W.G.) & Tracy Perdue; her only son, Shannon Wheeler (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Ashley Kassebaum (Jon), Allison Crotts, Brooke Wheeler, Emma Wheeler; her great-grandson, Dawson Crotts and a devoted sister, Debra Peak.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Friendship Retirement Home (Memory Care Dept.) for all the love and care they showed for "Mrs. Bertie".

Services will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at New Covenant Christian Church 4807 Cove Rd: Roanoke, VA 24017 with Pastor Chris Kingery, officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm with the service starting at 2 pm.
