Obituary

Ariel Doorman Vaught, Jr., age 50, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vaught, and Edward and Viola Combs; aunt, Maryellen Buler; father, Ariel Doorman Vaught, Sr.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memories are his loving wife of 22 years, Rhonda Gale Allen; children, Emily Flowers and her husband, Johnny, Angelica Jordan and her husband, Darius, and Dani Allen; grandchildren, Kyle, Darren, Melissa, Ethan, Neveah, and Aiden; brother, Edward Vaught and his wife, Joni; mother, Barbara Ann Vaught; special friends, K.P. and Gary and Karen Beam.

Ariel loved his family with all he had but those grandbabies were his world. He was a hard worker who took care of his family and would help anyone do anything they asked of him. He loved to go fishing and when this illness started to bring him down, he would not give up on what he wanted to do. He fought a good fight with COPD and never let the hardship of this disease bring him down from seeing the joyous things in life. He enjoyed picking on people especially if he they had a refrigerator with magnets on it. He would rearrange them so you would know that he had been there. He will be missed by everyone who shared a memory of Ariel in their life. May his legacy continue in life by the multiple acts of kindness he showed people.

Services for Ariel will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Angels of Assisi in honor of Ariel who adored all animals.
