Anthony "Tony" Duke, Sr., born on April 29, 1966, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Although he was born in Columbus, Ohio, he lived most of his life in Roanoke, VA.

He loved camping, the beach, and spent much of his time outside enjoying nature. He was a true handyman and mechanic with a real knack for technology and woodworking; he could build or fix just about anything. Whenever his family needed him, he was there, whether it was helping in the yard, renovating a home, or building a shed. He was a Redskins fan and a hardworking man who took pride in all of his tools and the gadgets he collected. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his children, his grandchildren, and his mama. Just as much as we were loved by him, he was loved by us.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Dave Duke, Sr.; his sister, Kathy Lashier; his brother-in-law, James Harmon; and his cousins, Leo and Timmy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Barbara Gish and his stepfather, Steve Gish; his children, Amanda, Bobby, and Nichole; his grandchildren, Sierra, Hunter, Chevy, Mavis, Ava, Anijah, Brooklyn, Gabby, and Jeremiah; his great-grandchild, Raelynn; his siblings, Eddie, Sr., Dave, Jr., Robin, and Amelia; his sister-in-law, Shirley; his brother-in-law, Martin; his nieces and nephews, Tammy, Amanda M., Sheena, Dallas, Amber, and Eddie, Jr., along with their spouses and children; his cousins, Raymond, Tommy, Tony S., Taft, Kieth, and their spouses and children, along with many other family members and friends he loved dearly.
