Amelia "Amy" Lynn Tibbs Simmons, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 58. She was born on November 6, 1966, to Betty Lue Lail and Bobby Joe Tibbs.

Amy's greatest joy was her family & friends. She was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Mike Prillaman of Rocky Mount. She is survived by her son, Cameron Simmons, and his wife, Tara; her cherished grandchildren, Kamryn and Dawson Simmons; and her sister, Sandy Tibbs, and her husband, Jay Heppner.

Amy was a dedicated personal assistant to Len Hale of New York Life Insurance for 35 years. Outside of her professional life, she was a passionate animal lover and an avid reader. Her home was filled with books and the unconditional love of her beloved cat, Jack.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association.

Amy will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle spirit, and the unwavering love she had for those closest to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
