Amber Knick Nelson, 73, of New Castle, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. She was born on May 31, 1952, in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Hattie Muterspaugh Knick and Matthew Marion Knick.

Amber was an active and devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she found great joy in her faith and church family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cherished every moment shared with them. Amber also enjoyed trout fishing and often reflected fondly on memories with her dear late husband, Charlie "Chuck" Lee Nelson, whom she missed deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Lee Nelson; stepson, Charlie Lee Nelson, Jr.; stepdaughter, Bonnie Marie Woolwine; parents, Hattie Muterspaugh Knick and Matthew Marion Knick; and step-grandchild, Joshua Wayne Nelson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Laura Lee Nelson Frango; step-grandson, Christopher Allen Nelson (Alisha); grandson, Matthew Nathan Nelson (Allison); step-great-grandchild, Gaige Allen Nelson; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Carter Nelson and Charlotte Lillie Nelson; sister, Lana Knick Harlow (Wayne); and her step-daughter-in-law, Dana Nelson.

A memorial service to celebrate Amber's life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Lee Looney officiating.
