Adrine Patricia Smith, 77, of Roanoke, VA passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was born on May 11, 1942 in Detroit, MI to the late James Romeo and Dolly Burch Smith. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Fannie Smith Craighead Monroe, Margaret Ann Smith; nephew, Mack Wayne Craighead, Jr.; and dear friends, Janice Petty and Margie Finnie.

She attended Roanoke Public School System, she retired from the Veteran's Administration Hospital after many years of service in Roanoke, VA and Washington D.C. Upon retiring, she was in the LOA program with 5 years as a grandparent at Greenvale Nursery School, LOA Diners Club, and President of the Sassy Sisters Social Club. Pat, as her friends called her, was an avid traveler and loved cruising. She had taken many cruises and travelled all over the world.

She is survived by her godson, Ivan Brewer; brother-in-law, Mack Craighead; cousins, Faye Woods of Detroit, MI and the Bethel Family; friends, Amos Petty, Temple Hills M.D., Harold Finney, Shirleen Rollins, Dorothy Mundy, Carolyn Bryson, Ethel Brown, Regina Jones, Shirley Braxton Poindexter, Steve Brown and Blue Ridge Apartment Family, and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be missed by all those that knew her.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park with Dr. Frank H. English officiating. The family will receive friends at Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 5-7 p.m.
